Concrete Wall Sawing in Jacksonville, FL

New doorways, windows and equipment openings cut cleanly through concrete and block walls up to about two feet thick.

Straight, square openings in concrete walls

Wall sawing uses a hydraulic saw that rides on a track bolted to the wall. Because the saw is guided by the track rather than a person's hands, the cuts are straight, the corners are square and the opening edges are clean enough to frame or finish against.

ABC's wall saws handle walls up to about 2 feet thick. The same setup works on vertical walls, sloped surfaces and, when needed, overhead. Wet cutting keeps dust and heat down.

  • Walls up to about 2 feet thick
  • Track-mounted for straight, square cuts
  • Poured concrete, precast and block
  • Corners finished with no overcut

How a wall opening gets cut

Lay out the opening on the wall. The track is anchored along the cut line, the saw makes the perimeter cuts, and corners are finished with a hand saw or concrete chainsaw so there is no overcut past the opening. The cut section is then removed in pieces sized for the space.

Plan shoring and any structural engineering before the day of cutting. That sits with your engineer and general contractor, not the cutting crew. We are happy to talk through the sequence on the phone before you schedule.

Wall Sawing questions

ABC's wall saws handle concrete and block walls up to about 2 feet thick. For thicker walls or very large structural sections, ABC uses wire sawing.

No. The straight runs are cut with the track-mounted wall saw, and the corners are finished with a hand saw or concrete chainsaw so the cut stops exactly at the corner instead of running past it.

No. Structural decisions, engineering and any shoring belong to your engineer and general contractor. ABC cuts to the layout you give us, and we can talk through sequencing before the job.
