Specialty Concrete Demolition in Jacksonville, FL

Selective removal of concrete by cutting it out in controlled pieces, so what stays behind isn't damaged by what comes out.

Demolition by cutting

Specialty demolition is removal where the concrete that stays matters as much as the concrete that goes. Instead of hammering a section out and cracking everything around it, ABC cuts it free with slab saws, wall saws, wire saws, chainsaws and core drills, then removes it in pieces sized for the space.

It is the method for interior slab removals, openings in structural walls, sections of plant structures, and any selective demolition in an occupied or finished building. The cutting is low-vibration, so damage to adjacent work stays to a minimum, and wet cutting keeps dust and heat down.

  • Cut out in controlled, sized pieces
  • Every cutting method on one crew
  • Low vibration near finished work
  • Interior and structural removals

Planning a selective removal

Send drawings or photos of what needs to come out and what has to stay. We plan the cuts around how the pieces will be handled and removed from the space, and schedule the right mix of saws for the job. Larger removals go better with a couple of days' notice.

Structural decisions, shoring and engineering stay with your engineer and general contractor. ABC does not pour back or rebuild after a removal.

Specialty Demolition questions

Regular demolition breaks concrete apart with hammers and heavy equipment. Specialty demolition cuts concrete free with diamond saws and removes it in controlled pieces, so the surrounding structure is not cracked or shaken. It is used when what stays behind has to be protected.
