Concrete Trenching in Jacksonville, FL

Straight, saw-cut trenches through slabs so plumbers and electricians can get their pipe and conduit in and move on.

Trenches cut for the trades

When a drain line, supply line or conduit has to run under an existing slab, the concrete has to come out along the route. ABC saw-cuts both sides of the trench to the width you need, breaks out the concrete between the cuts, and leaves a clean-edged trench ready for digging and pipe.

Most of our trenching is for plumbers and electricians, and most of it is indoors (stores, restaurants, offices and homes), so we run electric slab saws with no engine exhaust. Wet cutting keeps dust and heat down.

  • Straight saw-cut edges on both sides
  • Electric saws for indoor work
  • Concrete broken out and removed
  • Ready for digging and pipe

How a trenching job goes

Mark the trench route and width on the slab. We cut both sides and remove the concrete between, leaving a clean-edged trench. If the slab may contain post-tension cable, have the route scanned and marked before the cutting date.

ABC does not pour trenches back, so plan that with your own crew or concrete sub.

Concrete Trenching questions

Yes. Indoor trenching is done with electric slab saws, so there is no engine exhaust inside the building.

Same-day and next-morning jobs are common for trenching, because plumbers and electricians usually need it done before they can start. For large trenching jobs, a couple of days' notice is preferred.
