Concrete Core Drilling in Jacksonville, FL
Round, clean penetrations through slabs, walls and decks, from a 1-inch conduit hole to a 43-inch opening, by a crew that has done it since 1986.
Core drilling with no practical size limit
Core drilling is how you get a perfectly round hole through concrete without breaking anything around it. A diamond-segmented bit spins on a rig anchored to the slab or wall and cuts a clean cylinder, or core, that comes out in one piece. The finished hole is smooth-walled and exactly the diameter you asked for.
Every ABC truck carries bits from 1 inch through 12 inches, with half sizes up to 4½ inches, so most plumbing, electrical and mechanical penetrations get drilled the same visit. For larger openings the shop stocks large-diameter bits, including 41-inch and 43-inch cores, and we have drilled a 36-inch core through a 3-foot wall at a water treatment plant.
- No practical size limit
- Large-diameter bits in the shop, including 41" and 43"
- Floors, walls and overhead decks
- Wet cutting keeps dust and heat down

How a core drilling job goes
Mark the hole locations and sizes before we arrive, and tell us what is on the other side of the slab or wall. The rig is anchored or vacuum-mounted, and the core comes out in one piece. If the slab may contain post-tension cable, have it scanned and marked before the drilling date.
Have a long list of holes, or a few very large ones? Send the count, sizes and thickness, and we will plan the visit around them.

Concrete Core Drilling questions
There is no practical size limit. Every ABC truck carries core bits from 1 inch through 12 inches, including half sizes up to 4½ inches, and the shop stocks large-diameter bits such as 41-inch and 43-inch. We have drilled a 36-inch core through a 3-foot-thick wall at a water treatment plant.
Core drilling is quoted by the job, based on the hole sizes, how many there are, and the slab or wall thickness. Call (904) 246-1656 with those details and we can usually price it on the first call.
